Biography

Alex is a Commercial Lawyer who specializes in Construction, Infrastructure, Project finance and Commercial Dispute resolution. He has practiced in law for over 7 years. Alex holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from Makerere University, Kampala. He is licensed to practice law in Uganda. Alex is currently pursuing the APMG PPP Certification program that’s essential to becoming a Certified Public Private Partnerships Professional. Alex has also undertaken professional training on FIDIC construction contracts that are widely used all over the world in the Construction industry. He has also successfully completed the “Financing for Development” training course with the World Bank Group, enabling him to contextualize his practice in the broader international development spectrum. Alex has previously acted for both national and multi-national entities in an advisory and dispute resolution capacity. In the area of dispute resolution, Alex has a wealth of experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation and is a certified Trial Lawyer having been trained by Justice Advocacy Africa and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA – USA). Alex is a member of the Professional Development Committee of the Uganda Law Society and is published on Uganda’s International Dispute Settlement experience. Alex also has a passion for leadership and strategy.
